HUNNIC TRIBES, Alchon Huns. Uncertain king, circa 450-500. Drachm (Silver, 29 mm, 3.72 g, 3 h), early anonymous Alchon, Gandhara. αλxανo ('Alchon' in Bactrian) Beardless bust of Khingila with elongated skull to right, wearing necklace with two ribbons attached to it; beneath the bust, winged element; in upper field to left, crescent; in field to right, tamgha; to lower left, 'SI' (in Brahmi). Rev. Fire altar with two attendants. Göbl 43. Vondrovec, Type 43. Zeno-199476. Very rare. Minor edge crack and with some deposits on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
