HUNNIC TRIBES, Kidarites. Buddhamitra, 450-500. Drachm (Silver, 27 mm, 2.66 g, 3 h). Bust of Buddhamitra facing slightly right, wearing winged crown with floral elements and surmounted by crescent with korymbos flanked by ribbons. Rev. Fire altar with two attendants; in exergue, 'BUDDHAMI' ('He who has Buddha as friend' in Brahmi). Sunrise 1024. Vondrovec, type 18. Rare, especially in this condition. Somewhat crystallized and struck from a worn reverse die, otherwise, good very fine.
