Description

Man. Aemilius Lepidus, 114-113 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.84 g, 7 h), Rome. ROMA Laureate and draped bust of Roma to right; behind, star (mark of value). Rev. MN•AEMILIO• Equestrian statue to right on pedestal with three arches; between the arches, L-E-P. Babelon (Aemilia) 7. Crawford 291/1. RBW 1124. Sydenham 554. Lightly toned. Minor die rust on the obverse, otherwise, about very fine.

From an American collection of Roman Republican and Imperatorial coins, privately acquired from Colosseum Coin Exchange (with collector's and original dealer's tickets).
