★ Very rare and beautifully toned ★

C. Varro, 209-208 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 4.26 g, 6 h), uncertain mint in Sicily. Head of Roma to right, wearing winged helmet and pendant earring; behind, X (mark of value). Rev. ROMA (in linear frame) The Dioscuri, each holding spear, on horseback galloping right; above their heads, two stars; to lower right, C• VAR. Babelon (Terentia) 2. Crawford 74/1. RBW 317. Sydenham 199. Very rare and beautifully toned. Flan fault on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
