SWITZERLAND. Basel, Bistum. Lüthold I. von Aarburg, 1191-1213. Bracteate (Silver, 18 mm, 0.35 g), a contemporary imitation (so-called 'DVX-Pfennig'). Barbarised bust of the bishop left. Rev. Incuse of obverse. Wiel. Basel 73 c. Wiel. Breisgau 58. Beautifully toned and of lovely blundered style. Extremely fine.
