MIDDLE DANUBE. Uncertain tribe. 2nd-1st centuries BC. Tetradrachm (Billon, 22 mm, 9.07 g, 12 h), 'Kapostal' type, imitating Philip II of Macedon. Celticized laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. Celticized horseman to left, wearing crested helmet; to left, torc; below, figure-of-eight ornament. Dembski 1418-20. Lanz 776-80. OTA 484/7. Struck on a somewhat irregular flan, otherwise, good very fine.
