MIDDLE DANUBE. Uncertain tribe. 2nd-1st centuries BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23 mm, 9.35 g, 7 h), 'Kapostal' type, imitating Philip II of Macedon. Celticized laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. Celticized horseman to left, wearing crested helmet; to left, torc; below, figure-of-eight ornament. Dembski 1413. Lanz 774-5. OTA 484/6. Minor flan cracks and with some weakness on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
