LUCANIA. Herakleia. 3rd-1st centuries BC. AE (Bronze, 14 mm, 2.89 g, 9 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. [HPAKΛEIΩN] Marine deity to right, wearing crested helmet and holding spear in his right hand and shield in his left. HN Italy 1437. Van Keuren 144. A lovely issue with a charming reverse. Minor deposits and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
