CILICIA. Tarsus. Hadrian, 117-138. Tridrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 9.78 g, 12 h). ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΘΕ ΤΡ ΠΑΡ ΥΙ ΘΕ ΝΕΡ ΥΙ ΤΡ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ ϹE Laureate head of Hadrian to right. Rev. ΤΑΡ/ϹΕWΝ - ΜΗΤΡΟΠΟΛΕWϹ City-goddess, turreted and veiled, seated left, holding palm in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; to left at feet, river-god Kydnos, crowned with wreath of sedge, swimming left; all within laurel wreath. Prieur 759. RPC III 3259. Bright and attractive. Extremely fine.
