Description

CELTIC, Central Europe. Vindelici. 1st century BC. Stater (Gold, 17 mm, 7.59 g), 'Leerer Blattkranz' type. Wreath formed of two branches with eight leaves going in opposite directions and with a disc at each end. Rev. Six pellets within torque with pellet at each end; all within shallow incuse. Dembski 456-457. Flesche 312-313. Karl 277-283. LT 9423. SLM 1080-1081. Struck from somewhat worn dies, otherwise, very fine.

From a Swiss collection, formed over two generations.
