★ Extremely rare as a 1/4 stater ★

CELTIC, Central Europe. Vindelici. 1st century BC. 1/4 Stater (Electrum, 11 mm, 1.41 g), 'Leerer Blattkranz' type. Wreath formed of two branches with six leaves going in opposite directions and with a disc at each end. Rev. Six pellets within torque with pellet at each end; all within shallow incuse. Dembski -. Flesche 314-315. Karl -. LT -. SLM -. Extremely rare in this denomination. Very sharply struck and unusually complete, an excellent example. Extremely fine.

From a Swiss collection, formed over two generations.
