Leo I, 457-474. Nummus (Bronze, 10 mm, 0.95 g, 12 h), Constantinopolis. D N LEO [P F AVG] Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Leo I to right. Rev. Lion crouching left, head to right, within wreath. RIC 674. An unusually attractive example of this difficult issue with a charming lion. Very fine.
