A Grand Commander’s breast star, 75 mm, with chiselled and pierced rays; centre medallion with the Order’s cross in gold and enamels, its centre with the Bavarian colours within the white enameled cross; blue enameled outer circlet with chiselled Greek inscription the reverse, with broad, vertical pin (French mark) and two hooks; French marks also to the pin’s catch; maker’s escutcheon of Halley, Paris. Excellent quality; very rare and extremely fine condition. I RR!
