Volumes 1–13 (New York, 1875–1888), complete. 8vo, original matching publisher’s cloth (embossed blue cloth, front covers and spines lettered in gilt). 2544 pages plus indexes; numerous text illustrations. Bindings lightly worn and sunned; very good or better. Edited first by Ed Frossard and later by David Proskey, Scott’s Coin Collector’s Journal is one of the great 19th-century American numismatic periodicals. While publications like Frossard’s Numisma may be more entertaining to read, the Coin Collector’s Journal provides more solid numismatic information on a wide variety of topics than any other commercial publication of the day.
