ANTIOCHOS HIERAX, king 246-226 BC. Tetradrachm, Alexandria Troas. AR 17.09 g. Head r., wearing winged royal diadem. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo, nude, seated l. on the omphalos, holding bow with his lowered l. hand, arrow in his outstretched r. hand; in exergue, horse grazing l. between two monograms. Scarce and with impressive pedigree. Good portait. Attractive old cabinet tone. Extremely fine
