Republic gold 5 Pesos 1893 Go-R UNC Details (Reverse Spot Removed) NGC, Guanajuato mint, KM412.4. By far the rarest mint for this type, with a total mintage of supposedly just 16 pieces. Prooflike and glossy, a piece which would have been a premium Mint State grade were it not for the scratches in front of the reverse eagle where an imperfection was removed, likely by a proud previous owner. The sole certified specimen, and perhaps the only opportunity top-tier collectors of Mexican coins will have to acquire an example.
