temp. Vittorio Emanuele III gold Specimen "Airship Italia - La Tenda Rossa" Medal 1928 SP67 PCGS, 30mm. 14.87gm. By Moretti. An attractive gold medal produced in celebration of the journey of the Airship Italia on a new scientific voyage to the North Pole. The obverse scene depicts the airship on its transit flight over Milan, and it would crash later the same year not far from the North Pole.
