Charles I gold Unite ND (1636-1638) AU55 PCGS, Tower mint, Tun mm, S-2692, N-2153. 9.07gm. A sound example which notably displays exceedingly little of the larger areas of localized weakness which often plague hammered coinage of the period. Golden luster pervades in the fields, the sharper elements of the design accentuated by darkened tone. A premium example, and the only one currently certified by PCGS.
