Description

Republic Chang Tso-lin silver Medallic 50 Cents ND (1927) AU Details (Mount Removed) NGC, KM-X565, L&M-963, Kann-189 (this coin), WS-0112. A rare silver Medal portraying Chang Tso-lin, a warlord of Manchuria and the military dictator of the Republic of China for a brief period near the time of this Medal's manufacture. Almost always encountered in details grades, as Medals such as this were prized possessions of the Chinese elite who often made alterations so they could be worn and publicly presented proudly. A humble example that should pique the interest of nearly all those hoping to acquire this special medal type, as undamaged examples can often bring exorbitant prices.
