Maximian (AD 286-310). AV aureus (22mm, 5.65 gm, 1h) NGC Choice VF 5/5 - 2/5. Rome. V-IRTVS MAXIMIANI AVG, laurate, cuirassed bust of Maximian right, seen from front, wearing full aegis decorated with Gorgonian, spear in right hand, shield and two javelins in left hand / VIRTV-S AVGG, Hercules standing right strangling the Nemean lion; club behind, PR in exergue.
