Rama V copper Proof Pattern 4 Baht (Tamlung) ND (1868) PR60 Red and Brown NGC, KM-Pn32, Krisadaolarn/Mihailovs-pg. 164, Plate F32 var. (there, in nickel). An incredible rarity of the Thai series and in good company with other Rama V pieces in this very auction. As the largest denomination from this coveted series of Patterns, the example on offer, struck off-metal in copper, remains among the best, featuring iridescence silhouettes throughout and only minor scattering of handling across the fields. Only a small handful have made it to auction in the last decade, and the last we handled was this very specimen in 2020 as part of the Norman Jacobs Collection. Ex.
