A lesser-seen type from Tsao Kun's notorious and fleeting reign, whose portrait here is rendered in civilian dress, as opposed to his military uniform variety that is witnessed with greater frequency in our sales. Eventually deposed in a coup, these piece struck throughout his single-year rule remain incredibly sought-after, especially when assigned Mint State designations as is the case here.
