Among the most coveted minors from the Imperial era, and one featuring some of the best quality one can reasonably expect from the new mint at Kwangtung, produced from dies and presses manufactured by the Heaton family. The majority of this mintage was eventually removed from circulation and melted down due to having a higher relative purity to the Mexican issues it sought to supplant. As such, when located in straight-grade and approaching Mint State assignments, the series becomes incredibly elusive, making this an opportunity not the be missed.
