British Colony. Sierra Leone Company silver Proof 50 Cents (1/2 Dollar) 1791 PR58 NGC, KM5, FT-3A. Very rare as a Proof with a scant mintage of just 54 specimens. A formidable example with such fine, detailed engraving imbued to the crisp lettering and rendering of the embraced hands, the lilac and cornflower overtones peppered with champagne undertones. Only the most minor of instances of circulation wear are evident to the lion's mane and fingers define the grade of this otherwise fantastic representative. Ex.
