THRACE. Mesambria. Ca. 280-225 BC. AR tetradrachm (35mm, 16.79 gm, 1h). NGC Choice AU S 5/5 - 4/5. In the name and types of Alexander III the Great of Macedon. Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck / BAΣIΛEΩΣ / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, feet on ground line, eagle in right hand, scepter in left; crested Corinthian helmet right in left field, EΠI monogram below strut.
