SCYTHIA. Geto-Dacians. Coson (after 54 BC). AV stater (20mm, 8.35 gm, 12h). NGC Choice MS 5/5 - 4/5. Ca. 44-42 BC. Roman consul (L. Junius Brutus) walking left, accompanied by two lictors fore and aft; BR monogram before, KOΣΩN in exergue / Eagle with spread wings standing left on scepter, clutching laurel wreath in right talon. HGC 3.2, 2049. RPC I 1701A. A well-centered example with highly intricate details and the desirable "full beading" on both sides. From the Historical Scholar Collection.
