Description

Bavaria. Karl Theodor Taler 1795-AS MS65 PCGS, Mannheim mint, KM560.3, Dav-1959, Wittelsbach-2415, Hahn-393. A beautiful and entirely original specimen which immediately exceeds all reasonable expectations for the type, not least owing to the typically poor preparation of the alloy, leading to haymarking and frequent flan flaws. While a smattering of light haymarks do exist, these neither impede the coin's abundant luster, nor diminish its strong eye appeal. Ex. Johann Max Böttcher Collection (Harald Möller Auction 47, November 2007, Lot 101) From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
