Description

Bamberg. Christoph Franz von Busek Taler 1800 MS63 NGC, Nürnberg mint, KM151, Dav-1940, Schön-47, Krug-435. Generally considered to be the scarcer of two primary varieties produced in this year, differentiated by the placement of the date towards the bottom or top of the shield. Unsurpassed at either grading service, this is just the second representative we have seen in MS63, with the mottled russet-lacquer toning on obverse (reverse as holdered) not to be mistaken for staining. Ex. Hess-Divo Auction 287 (May 2001, Lot 209) From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
