An ever-popular Palatial emission, which in this particular series was contemporary with the more prolific Gratia Dei Rex coinage. Imbued with cabinet iridescence, it is intriguing that the dies seen here were not recorded by Morrison and Grunthal or Nouchy, although they both record a P in PALATINA which, owing to a die flaw, looks like an R.
