Central American Republic 8 Reales 1842/0 NG-MA MS62+ NGC, Nueva Guatemala mint, KM4, WR-11, cf. Elizondo-103 (this overdate not listed), Stickney-C92. A coin which easily earns its "plus" designation, and could just as easily be seen with a "star" for stellar eye appeal, the fields absolutely resplendent with Prooflike reflectivity observed from even an arm's length. Soft champagne tone colors the luster over both sides, flaring up to hues of cobalt, violet, and orange peel towards the upper portions of the piece, all while prominent die polish studs the fields. Easily a representative which far exceeds the upper bounds of its assigned grade, and one of the most attractive we have offered.
