Central American Republic 8 Reales 1841 NG-MA MS62 NGC, Nueva Guatemala mint, KM4, WR-11, Elizondo-101 (recorded only as an overdate), Stickney-C92. A coin whose visual quality can only fully be appreciated in-hand, and one whose aesthetic stature alone nearly seems meriting of a higher technical grade. Already standing as the single finest example of the date yet certified across NGC and PCGS combined, obverse and reverse alike are awash in white, glassy brilliance, producing a finish which can only be the result of a strike from very fresh dies. Simply incredible, and a piece which far exceeds many more highly graded coins in this series.
