Description

British India. Victoria gold 10 Rupees 1870-(c) MS61 NGC, Calcutta mint, KM479. Mintage: 7,932. A rare original striking of this highly coveted gold issue with bright luster and lovely orange-gold color that adds a touch of reddish hue in the reverse centers. Seldom offered in any state of preservation, with Mint State examples that are free of major issues being seen far less frequently. Thusly quite important as an offering of Indian type. Ex. Commander Collection
