British India. Edward VII Proof Restrike Rupee 1908-B PR65 NGC, Bombay mint, KM508, S&W-7.43. A level of preservation rarely seen within this restrike series, particularly so for the coins of Edward VII, whose generally shallower striking and heavily polished finish makes even the most minor of wisps readily apparent. Seeming far superior to the David Fore example, this piece boasts a very clean finish dappled with just a hint of toning. For the sake of completeness, we note a small patch of wisps before the bust, though these only appear when viewing the offering under good light.
