THRACIAN KINGDOM. Lysimachus (305-281 BC). AR tetradrachm (29mm, 17.01 gm, 1h). NGC AU 5/5 - 4/5. Lifetime issue of Uncertain Mint in Thrace, ca. 297-281 BC. Diademed head of deified Alexander III right, with horn of Ammon; dotted border / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΛΥΣΙΜΑXΟΥ, Athena enthroned left, Nike in right hand crowning name, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear beyond; XAΛ monogram in inner left field. Thompson -. Müller 559. Areas of red-orange toning on subdued lustrous surfaces.
