SASANIAN KINGDOM. Shapur I the Great (AD 240-272). AV dinar (23mm, 7.29 gm, 3h). ANACS AU 55. Mint VI? ("Sakastan"?), Phase Ic, ca. AD 251-258. Bust of Shapur I right, wearing mural tiara with korymbos and long ear flap, long beard with two rings / Large flaming fire altar flanked by two attendants standing facing, head turned outward wearing mural crown with korymbos, scepter surmounted by pellet and crescent in outer hand; single pellet above crescent on altar shaft. Sunrise -. Göbl type I/1.
