French Afars & Issas Tresor Public 500 Francs ND (1973) Pick 31 PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. This interesting and very pretty banknote is from the short lived French Afars & Issas, named after the two most prominent ethnicities in the colony. In 1977, independent Djibouti was created, and the only banknotes were redeemed. Pack fresh originality is seen on this handsome type. Rare in this grade, this is a very desirable colonial type.
