Description
Ottoman Empire. Abdul Hamid II 20 Qirsh AH 1293 Year 1 (1876/1877) XF40 PCGS, Misr mint (in Egypt), KM283, UBK-pg. 104 (RRRR). Pleasingly uniform slate-grey color over admirably clean surfaces. An extremely rare issue from the first regnal year of this elusive large-sized type, and difficult in any problem-free condition, the present piece being the only example graded as such by PCGS.
