Description
Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. Rudolf August 2 Taler 1686-RB MS61 NGC, Zellerfeld mint, KM531.3, Dav-LS114, Welter-1827. A fully attractive multiple taler whose appeal is greatly bolstered by a mottling of rich iridescent toning accents around the devices on the obverse. Presently tied with the Cape Coral specimen we sold in our August 2016 ANA sale for the second finest certified, with that piece bringing $7931. From the Amsterdam Collection
