Szechuan. Empress Tzu Hsi Fantasy 50 Cents ND MS63 NGC, KM-X427, Kann-B28, WS-1349-48. An apparently scarcer fantasy issue than the larger Tzu Hsi Dollars to judge from recent sales records, with only a small handful of certified examples having become available, and this being only the second Choice Mint State offering we have handled. Ascribed to the region of Szechuan-Tibet, the current representative is profusely toned and struck from heavily polished dies.
