Japan Greater Japan Imperial National Bank, Tokyo 1 Yen ND (1873) Pick 10 PMG Very Fine 25. Only standard circulation is seen on this rare 19th century type. These banknotes were printed in New York by the Continental Banknote Company and were finished in Japan, with region-specific identifiers. The blue and red overprints indicate that this note was issued in Tokyo from Branch 15 of the Imperial National Bank. Simply beautiful design elements are seen on both sides. Handsome and rare.
