Figural Hellenistic askos in form of a reclined lion. 3rd - 2nd century BC. Height 9,3cm, length 11,1cm. Mouldmade with manually worked details, dark grey terracotta with brown slip. With large stirrup handle, above small nozzle and tiny spout instead of the mouth. Underneath an old label. With copy of the auction catalogue! Few tiny chips, otherwise intact.
