14.43g. 30mm. AU/XF+. Medalier: Carl Jahn (on reverse, C. J. below the bow). Diakov 1027.1 (similar large size). Ar - R3. Obv.: Right-facing bust of Emperor Alexander III within a circular inscription. Inscription around: ALEXANDER III WENÄÄN KEISARI SUOMEN SUURI - RUHTINAS (Alexander III, Emperor of Russia, Grand Duke of Finland). Rev.: Three-line inscription within a wreath composed of grain stalks, oak branches, and flowers; engraver’s initials beneath the bow at bottom. Inscription around: KEISARILLINEN SUOMEN TALOUSSEURA(Imperial Finnish Agricultural Society). In center: TAITO | JA | TOIMI (For Knowledge and Labor). Below the wreath: C . J . (Carl Jahn) This agricultural award medal was issued under the reign of Alexander III by the Imperial Finnish Agricultural Society. It honors exemplary achievements in farming, skill, and productive labor. The reverse design, engraved by Carl Jahn, reflects the agricultural symbolism and bilingual heritage of the Grand Duchy of Finland under Russian rule.
