PB Byzantine lead seal. Seal of Bassos Gregoras (6th century)
Obv: Cruciform monogram: α - β - ο - σ – υ : Βάσσου. Wreath border.
Rev: Cruciform monogram. α - γ - ρ - η : Γρηγορᾷ. Wreath border.
For the obv. monogram, Cheynet, Tarse, 10; DO, BZS.1958.106.2303 and for the rev., Zacos, 346. A second specimen of the seal is unrecorded.
Condition: VF.
Weight: 13.0 g.
Diameter: 20 mm.
