Description
Antoninus Pius (138-161). AE Dupondius, Rome mint, 140-144 AD. Obv. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P COS III. Radiate head right. Rev. GENIVS POP ROMANI SC. Genius standing facing, head right, holding sceptre and cornucopiae. RIC III 661; C. 409. AE. 11.12 g. 26.50 mm. Outstanding portrait and superb deep olive green patina. Slightly rough surfaces, otherwise about EF.
