EGYPTIAN FAIENCE SHROUD WITH FOUR SONS OF HORUS
Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC A funerary shroud composed of faience beads depicting the deceased's face, a winged scarab, and the four Sons of Horus. The scarab symbolises rebirth and the four figures protect the deceased's organs for the afterlife.These shrouds were typically draped over the body of the deceased during the mummification process and were believed to protect in the afterlife.
