2nd - 3rd century AD. Bronze fragment of an important Roman parade helmet. Such helmets were exclusively for superior soldiers. This fragment shows a decorated side with sumptuous hair curls and patterns. Very rare! Fine condition. Provenance: Property of a Nort West London lady, from her family collection from the 1970s.
