3rd - 4th century AD. A pale red terracotta oil lamp (lucerne), the surface decorated with the goddess Venus in dynamic twirling movement in the centre. Fair condition, middle part gives, female figure intact. Provenance: Property of a Lewisham gentleman, from his family collection formed in the 1980s.
