Byzantine lead seal of Basileios vestarches
(ca 12th cent.)
Obverse: Inscription in 4 lines between decorative patterns, +ΚΕ/RΟΗΘΕΙ/ΤΩCΩ/ΔΟVΛ, = Κύριε, βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ (Lord, help your servant), dotted border.
Reverse: Inscription in 4 lines between decorations, BAC/ΙΛΕΙΩ/RΕCΤΑ/ΡΧΗ = Βασιλείῳ βεστάρχῃ (Basileios vestarches), dotted border.
Condition: Very Fine
Weight: 4,8 gram
Diameter: 18,4 mm
