Awarded 1835 AD. Obv: crowned arms within garter between standing male and female figures with SANCTE ET SAPIENTER legend above; COLL REG LOND / MDCCCXXIX in two lines in exergue. Rev: engraved 'MERENDO / in Facultate Britannia / G R CARTER / 1835' in four lines within wreath; in B Smith, London original box of issue with additional circular label with manuscript red ink 'Given to Institute / by / Miss M Payne / herself 30/1/14' inscription. 81.8 grams total, 51mm. .
Almost as struck; jeweller's graffito to reverse. Scarce.
