Description
Medieval Gold Ring with Sapphire
12th-13th century AD. A gold ring comprising a round-section hoop, pyramidal bezel with inset replicant sapphire cabochon. 2.74 grams, 21.79mm overall, 16.70mm internal diameter (approximate size British K, USA 5 1/4, Europe 10.27, Japan 10) (3/4"). Property of a North London gentleman; formerly in an old Wiltshire, UK, collection.
